"Had An Awesome Time! I went on the sandbar one where they literally let us jump out and start swimming! It was a blast, just the tour, the site seeing, the beautiful Jersey Shore and the view of New York City. Definitely plan on going again!"

"Went out on the boat with my family and we had an amazing time. It's too cold in the year to swim so it was a sightseeing type tour. The sunset and NY skyline were gorgeous, especially at night. The drinks were amazing, highly recommend the Dirty Banana! Bartenders were fantastic. The crew were great and made sure we were all having a good time. Music was playing and we just had a blast. Highly recommend!"

"My kids and I took my wife on a cruise for Mother's Day and she loved it. We all had a great time and look forward to going again."
We depart from Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor in Atlantic Highlands, NJ—near Sissy’s and On The Deck restaurants. There’s plenty of parking nearby, and we’re just steps from the water. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled departure and no less than 5 minutes before. This gives us time to get everyone checked in and boarded so we can depart on time for all guests. The boat leaves on schedule — late arrivals may forfeit their booking with no refund.
Each Sandy Hooker Tiki Tours trip has a maximum of 30 passengers. If you book a private charter, your group can reserve the full boat up to that limit. On Public Booking cruises, the total number of passengers on board will also not exceed 30.
Yes! For private charters, you’re welcome to bring your own food, whether that means snacks, full meals, or catering. We do not allow outside beverages. Public cruises and private charters without a drink package operate as a cash bar onboard.
Yes — and we’re proud to be the only tiki boat in New Jersey with a full liquor license and bar onboard. That means real cocktails, cold beer, and a proper bar experience on the water — something no other tiki boat in the state can offer.
Alcohol service is available to guests 21 and over with valid ID. Outside alcohol is strictly not permitted — no BYOB. All beverages must be purchased onboard. Per state law, alcohol service does not begin until the boat leaves the dock and must cease 30 minutes before returning to dock. The captain reserves the right to stop serving alcohol to any individual at any time.
Public cruises have a cash bar onboard throughout the cruise. Private charters without a drink package also operate as a cash bar.
Private tours do not have an age limit, so they are great for groups with kids, adults, and mixed ages. Children are always considered under 12. Public Booking cruises depend on the trip. Some will be 21 and up only, and some will allow guests under 21.
Private charters give you exclusive use of the entire boat for your group—perfect for birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate events, or any private celebration. You can customize the route and bring your own food. Public Booking cruises are scheduled public trips where you’ll share the boat with other cruisers in a fun, social atmosphere.
Our cruises run between 2–5 hours depending on the experience. Public bookings typically run 2–3 hours, while private charters are flexible and can be customized up to 5 hours to fit your celebration.
For all cruises:
Sunscreen — the sun reflects off the water, so reapply often
Sunglasses — polarized lenses help on the open water
Comfortable clothing
We do not allow outside beverages — all drinks are available for purchase onboard
Swim trips:
Bathing suit
Towel
Water shoes — optional but helpful on the sandbar
Waterproof bag or dry bag — to keep your phone, keys, and valuables safe
Extra change of clothes — for the ride back after you’ve been in the water
Sunset cruises:
Sweater or sweatshirt — evenings on the water get cooler than expected
Light jacket or windbreaker — blocks the sea breeze as the night sets in
Long pants — a comfortable layer over shorts for the ride back
Closed-toe shoes — warmer than sandals once the temperature drops
Your safety is our first priority. If we need to cancel, we’ll contact you right away to reschedule your trip or issue a full refund. But only the captain reserves the right to cancel any trip due to inclement weather.
Yes! Sandbar swim trips are one of our most popular experiences. We cruise out to the famous Sandy Hook sandbars where the water is warm and shallow. Drop anchor, jump in, float around, and soak up the sun. Perfect for hot summer days!
Yes — all guests are required to sign a liability waiver before boarding. Here’s how it works with our new booking system:
During checkout: You’ll be prompted to sign the waiver as part of the Xola checkout process. It takes about 30 seconds and can be completed right on your phone or computer.
After booking: A waiver link is also sent directly to your email confirmation, so you can sign at any time before your cruise date.
Bringing friends? Once you receive your waiver link by email, you can copy and paste it and send it to anyone in your group so they can sign on their own device — no need for everyone to sign on the same screen.
Children: Each child requires their own waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
If you haven’t signed before arriving, we’ll have you sign dockside, but arriving pre-signed keeps departure on time for everyone.
Booking is simple:
Click Book Now on the cruise you want.
Pick the date and cruise type that works for your group, then choose your guest count and any options shown.
Continue through checkout, entering your contact details and payment information to confirm.
If the checkout flow isn’t working, contact us by email or phone and we’ll help you complete your reservation directly.
For all public cruises — including but not limited to Sunset and Cocktails, Summer Swim n’ Splash, Saturday Swim Party, Sunset and Swim, and all Special Event cruises — a full refund will only be made for cancellations 7 days or more in advance. A fifty percent refund will be issued for cancellations made 72 hours to 6 days in advance. Any cancellation made less than 72 hours in advance will result in no refund and full forfeiture of any monies paid.
Private charter cruises require a 50% deposit. Refunds are only available for cancellations made 2 weeks or more in advance. Please see your private charter contract for further details.
If you are not aboard before the boat departs, your booking is forfeited with no refund. The boat leaves on schedule out of respect for all guests on board, so please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your departure time.
Yes! We have an onboard bathroom (head) available for guests throughout your cruise. It’s not a full bathroom, but it’s there when you need it.
Yes, we have phone chargers available on board so you can keep your devices powered up throughout the cruise.
